Aimee C. Slusher is a partner in the law firm and is a native of Lufkin, Texas. Mrs. Slusher has been practicing law in the areas of estate planning and probate, real estate and business law since 1994. She has prepared estate plans for individuals with taxable and non-taxable estates, and has represented families in the probate of wills and administration of estates, both taxable and non-taxable. Mrs. Slusher has also completed numerous commercial real estate transactions, including the representation of shopping center developers in the sale and purchase of real property. Mrs. Slusher has experience in the following types of transactions and cases:
• Analysis and preparation of estate plans for individuals with non-taxable and taxable estates, including the use of tax planning wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and family limited partnerships
• Probate of wills and administration of estates, both taxable and non-taxable, including the determination of heirship and administration when an individual dies without a will, as well as assisting in the preparation and filing of estate and gift tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service.
• Initiation and continuation of guardianships for minors and adult incapacitated persons
• Representation of purchasers and sellers in commercial real estate transactions, including the development of property for retail shopping center use
• Representation of lenders in residential and commercial real estate transactions
• Representation of clients in the formation of business entities, including corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, professional associations and professional corporations
Prior to joining the Zeleskey Law Firm in 2001, Mrs. Slusher practiced law at the firm of Akins & Nowlin, P.C. (formerly Walsh, Akins & Davis, P.C.) in Round Rock, Texas. Mrs. Slusher is an active member of the community and her church.
